Three principles have defined our operation across two generations of mineral processing at Digana.
Our heritage in Digana dolomite processing dates to 1958, when our founding family pioneered dolomite production for Sri Lanka's plantation sector. Promark Lanka (Pvt) Ltd continues that legacy today — combining decades of accumulated deposit knowledge, processing expertise and industry relationships.
Every batch is processed to specification — controlled particle size distribution, verified chemistry and stable whiteness. Industrial buyers depend on raw material uniformity, and our processing discipline ensures the grade delivered this month matches the grade delivered last month.
Our agricultural dolomite grade conforms to the specification recommended by the Tea Research Institute of Sri Lanka, and our products have served estates and factories recognised by TRI, RRI and CRI standards for decades — a mark of trust few processors can claim.
Promark Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, established in 2014, continues a family legacy in mineral processing that began in 1958, when founder Rauf Mohammed Aziz pioneered dolomite production at Digana and introduced the mineral to Sri Lanka's plantation industry.
Digana, in the Kandy District, hosts Sri Lanka's largest dolomite deposit. The crystalline limestone of the Central Highlands yields exceptionally consistent calcium magnesium carbonate — the raw material behind the region's long-established role in supplying the island's ceramic, glass, paint, rubber, fertiliser and lime industries.
We extract, crush, grind and classify at source. Working directly from the deposit allows us to select material, control processing and certify every grade we dispatch — a level of oversight our customers have relied on across two generations.

Dolomite corrects soil acidity and replenishes magnesium and calcium in upcountry tea and rubber soils. Our agricultural grade conforms to the Tea Research Institute recommended specification and has served Central Province estates for decades.
Ground calcium carbonate and dolomite powder are standard extenders and fillers in Sri Lanka's paint industry — extending titanium dioxide, building film, controlling sheen and providing texture in masonry coatings and wall putty.
Calcium carbonate and dolomite powders serve as cost-effective non-reinforcing fillers in natural rubber, synthetic rubber and latex compounds — a long-established application in Sri Lanka's rubber products industry.
Dolomitic limestone from the region is processed into quicklime and slaked lime for the building industry. We additionally supply aggregate for road base and concrete, and calcium carbonate based skimcoat for wall finishing.
Sri Lanka's porcelain ranks among the best in the world — built on the island's high-quality feldspar, quartz and dolomite. These flux and body minerals lower firing temperatures and strengthen the fired product.
Dolomite contributes MgO and CaO to the glass batch, improving durability and chemical resistance, while quartz supplies the silica base — both drawn from deposits long used by the island's glass industry.
Fine GCC improves stiffness, dimensional stability and surface quality in PVC and polyolefin compounds while reducing resin cost — an expanding market for locally processed mineral filler as Sri Lanka's polymer sector grows.
Local lime manufacturing plants across the Central Province calcine dolomitic limestone into quicklime — one of the oldest continuous applications of the Digana deposit, which we have supplied with kiln-feed lump stone for generations.

Our agricultural dolomite is processed to the specification recommended by the Tea Research Institute of Sri Lanka — 100% passing 30 mesh, 40–60% passing 100 mesh, with 18–20% magnesium and 22% calcium — the standard against which dolomite fertiliser for tea cultivation is measured.
This specification, and our decades of consistent adherence to it, is why estates and factories operating under TRI, RRI and CRI guidance have sourced from the Digana deposit generation after generation.
